Services
Our services include design and installation of irrigation for the domestic, commercial, horticultural and agricultural sectors. We can install drip lines 3 ways.
Plough-In The drip lines are ploughed into the ground (tension free) to a uniform depth at an accurate spacing between the lines, "Pig-tails" of the tube are left exposed at each end of the runs.
Pinch-In The drip lines are placed with the same accuracy as ploughing in to a nominal holding depth. This is especially suited to shrubbery areas where mulch will be added.
- Quicker and more accurate than manual lay over
- No holding pins required.
- No risk of damage during mulch spreading
- Lines never get exposed, minimising damage, theft or vandalism
- Note: Requires R.P.Z Back flow prevention device.
Lay-over This is a fast, accurate, design compliant laying out of above ground drip lines. With the time saved and most of the labour released to other tasks, this is more accurate, less wastage and very cost effective.
How it works
Our specialist machine allows drip-line tube to be fed through the hollow interior of the plough blade. Sod cutters allow the blades to plough through the turf with minimal surface disturbance. Dampening wheels behind the blades re-settle the ground leaving no trenches to back-fill, compact or re-seed.
What we can offer you
- Ploughing of subsurface drip line irrigation
- Proven strategies to minimise material wastage
- Personal consultation and estimation
- Support to ensure best performance and top results
Why sub-surface anyway?
- Reduces water consumption by as much as 60%
- Extremely even distribution direct to the root area - no big green circles with dry brown patches
- The preferred method of irrigation by all water authorities and is normally permitted during water restrictions
- Durability with minimal maintenance requirements
- Minimal opportunity for vandalism or theft
- Reduced evaporation with no wind drift, over spray or water run off
- Permits continued use of the land whilst irrigating
